Newport Beach, California – November 27, 2006 – Source One Aircraft Repair (SOAR), a commercial AOG major field repair provider has appointed Jim H. Jijawi as Managing Director, indicating that the new and uniquely designed company has grabbed the attention of industry experts.

“Jim is recognized worldwide for his outstanding achievement and contribution to the aviation industry,” commented Chris Merry, General Manager. “With SOAR Jim has the opportunity to aid the aviation industry by providing an innovative and cost effective commercial repair alternative.”

Prior to SOAR, Jijawi worked at Boeing Commercial Airplane Group for over 28 years in several capacities including Director of Maintenance and Modification Services. Jijawi’s span of responsibility included AOG, maintenance, modification and passenger-to-freighter conversion.

“SOAR’s partnership with Jim is a significant step to building client confidence and providing the industry with the highest quality service,” said Mr. Merry.

Recently developed in response to demands for shorter and less costly AOG down time, SOAR employs a unique business strategy to satisfy its clients. Using relationship skills to establish a network and retaining a small core of highly experienced and certified key staff, SOAR performs as an agile AOG General Contractor with dedicated partners that can be brought together more quickly than traditional methods in response to AOG incidents anywhere, anytime globally.
